I repeated the hair test earlier as I am considering chelation and it was an eye opener. 14 metals that do not bind to mercury have all reduced. However, the level of mercury being excreted is now higher due to the treatment and the metals that bind to mercury are much higher too as its mobilised out of the cells. Some have actually went from previous low readings to high. Aluminium has gone form a medium reading of 64% to a high reading of 76% and of course is another metal associated with dementia symptoms; mercury has risen from 72% to 82%. The really highlights how there is a high concentration of mercury stored in the cells and its ability to bind other metals to it. So chelation it is. I hope to start in a few weeks once the medication has arrived and I am only taking selenium in the meantime.
I managed to get advice from a clinic who sells oxylift and my situation and symptoms would warrant 1 drop only twice a day. I also started Z natural on advice for metal removal and had to stop. Same as I have experienced before due to the level of toxicity, unpleasant symptoms appearing. This is drawing me more to Andrew Cutler's chelation protocol although the dentist advised against chelation. The protocol on the living network site has a lot of advice to help you do the process on your own.

Well there was a delay in returning to FCT due to dentist's commitments and so I restarted selenium. ALA and zinc with no ill effects. Someone introduced me to oxygen therapy as Oxylift drops. I did find it seemed to enhance pulling the metals causing slight symptoms. Currently looking for advice on dosage of oxilift because if it can help its a bonus. Have been back at FCT for assessment and was asked to return in two months. Sadly illness in the family now has to take priority and I am having to take a break as I have difficulty doing the required exclusions on the day. Will be repeating a hair test in a few months to see what improvement there is.
Well I've had to stop additional supplements meantime as I seem to have experienced a minor setback, I had a flu type cold over Christmas and stopped the supplements but felt things were so mild I started them again and was fine. However, I was floored with more severe flu type symptoms from mid January and did not think to stop the supplements. About 10 days down the line I realised I may be absorbing some of the metals the supplements were pulling as I wasn't able to eat or drink water to the extent needed. Some minor joint problems, dizziness and uncertain if it affected my gut. Due an FCT check up next week so that may shed some light on things. Only taking the Selenium as and when I feel its safe meantime.
Very happy to say that even the prodromal dementia symptoms of misplacing items has stopped and stayed away. This would be about 32 weeks after I found out what was wrong with me. Joints are fine and generally I feel really well. I am now having FCT check ups every three months instead of every 2. I admit to being impatient and wanting to move things along a bit. In October I started to take cilantro pesto again - this time sticking to the guidelines and taking it in the morning. I found I could take it without causing any symptoms due to reabsorbing metals.
Vianna Stibal advised to take chlorophyll and ALA as well as cilantro for a long period before considering chelation. I added in chlorophyll and ALA to the midday dose of supplements and found I got symptoms. So I tried taking all supplements in the morning on rising plus cilantro pesto and I managed fine. I then took magnesium, at midday with no ill effects. Glad to be tolerating the ALA as Andrew Cutler advised its the only one that crosses the blood brain barrier. Sadly I pushed my luck as things were going so well. I did one liver cleanse and pulled metals and added some sulphur foods in the morning and my joints flared up. So I realize I am a long way from considering chelation. By April 2014 I realized that this was wrong. I managed Andrew Cutler's chelation with ease by sticking to his guidelines and would now recommend it. Well I have not added to this blog for a while as I experienced a minor set back which put me in a space where I did not have much to say. In the days that followed the surgery to remove amalgam my palate ulcerated. Available products did not help and two well filled teeth started to get sore so eating was not the best experience. The dentist thought it may be a virus and I found another mercury free dentist site on which palate ulceration was a symptom due to absorbing mercury. That made sense as I know even with safe removal some mercury will be absorbed. Due to the position of the amalgam and the fact that bone had to be drilled away, I'm sure that would be the cause.
Over these past months one tooth settled down while the other remained lets say sensitive. I then remembered selenium had stopped such sensitivity in my teeth initially and so considered that this may also have been due to reabsorbing mercury. I've used a number of homeopathic preparations and , when pushed to get relief, sensodyne toothpaste. It has improved although its not quite out of the woods yet so we will wait and see how things go. Had the amalgam removed from below crowns today. In all it took 1&1/2 hours to remove and complete. It had infiltrated the muscle, which I is called an amalgam tattoo and the bone was affected too so the area of bone had to be removed.
I'm delighted to say I have not been misplacing things for a few weeks and if I've thought I've lost something, I've came across it by retracing my steps. Outwith normal life stresses rocking the boat, I have a sense of calmness I did not realize was absent to me and I can't believe the difference it's made to my driving experience. Joints, stomach, back and neck and shoulders all continue to do well. I may consider Andrew Cutler's chelation programme further down the line due to having experienced dementia symptoms previously but so very grateful that things have improved to this extent. Last amalgam removal went fine. Saw a dentist regarding amalgam removal from below the crowns. Don't know if it all became too much for me or if the memory of previous experience had me on my guard, but I unexpectedly became emotional and then could not regain my composure. Got to say the dentist was great. He respects the mercury free dentist's knowledge even although its not his area of expertise and appreciates what this has meant for me. So work all planned for amalgam removal and removal of amalgam tattoo and that will be it all gone.
Health wise feeling good. Very aware of how many things did not seem to register with me before, especially when driving, so feeling calmer driving to locations previously outwith my comfort zone. Well my joints and bladder were a little problematic after the previous amalgam removal, but symptoms had settled by 72 hours later. As I did not react with dementia symptoms or heart problems, the remaining five amalgams are all coming out next week which I am pleased at. After that I have been referred to someone else as I have two crowns were the roots are filled with mercury and a resultant amalgam tattoo. So need to see how these get removed.
General health is doing okay on this round of FCT. My emotional health has been up and down in as much as I've been going in and out of a depressive mood. Depression is known to be linked to mercury poisoning. Overall the FCT is both helping or taking the edge off things so I've coped. It seemed to peek last week but have been feeling much better since 10th August and repeated the FCT yesterday so fine today. After chatting with Gary I decided to do a hair analysis test. Mercury, silver , palladium , amalgam are all high plus metals that mercury binds to it are all high. Aluminium and others are medium. I got Andrew Cutler's book on hair test interpretation and learned that titanium is one of the metals mercury binds to it. I have a few dental implants for childhood dental damage. The titanium levels are currently at the higher end of low. Although I was initially advised not to bother with a hair test as it only really tells you what's being excreted, it's given me valuable insight. It's also something I will be able to have redone in the future to check my progress. However, if you decide to have a hair test done, remember you must be mobilising the metals for a bit before you do it or it could come back negative. Tried wheatgrass to aid mercury removal but had to stop after two days as it worsened some of my symptoms. First amalgam removed on 10th July and I seem to have coped with that. I have a few physical symptoms but can't be sure if they are residual symptoms from taking wheatgrass.
A new friend called Gary got in touch as he is also dealing with mercury poisoning and he shared some very valuable information with me. Two internet links that are based on Andrew Cutler's chelation protocol and a book called The mercury Diaries. I've added these to the resource page. Well I decided I won't be taking Homeopathy meantime as I don't want to interfere with the FCT. Had a review of FCT on 27th June. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being poor, I had previously tested as chronic toxicity as the mercury was coming up in my bone marrow at level 3. I've now improved to level 5. Overall improvements include joint pain has almost completely gone; only a very occasional twinge at times. My stomach feels great no digestive problems. Sleeping well. Still managing with less need for lists for what I need to do. Sensitive teeth remain settled and I have now been advised I can go without the mouth guard at night. Low back and shoulders still feeling good and less achy than before. Dentist was happy with the improvement and dental work will now start 10th July.
