I saw a new nutritional therapist last week and my faith has been restored. Apparently I should never have been given glutathione. They are taught that it should never be given to anyone who has oxidative stress, which I think could be picked up from the intake assessment form, but I actually had a test done with the other practitioner that showed the stress my body was under. Again no benefit in a rigid outlook! I also think I was put on the Paleo diet - although not named as such - and it may be fine in health, but other tests highlighted in my current state I'm needed more. A little bit of advice I've gained on hindsight - if the practitioner says " this is the diet some do well on it others not so good" they're not looking at you as an individual and you should find someone else.
As for the present. New dietary guidelines are great, No great restrictions as such, overall advice and plenty to choose from. We are doing the slow and steady approach. Helping the liver , building up health , natural detox approach and we'll see if chelation should be considered much further down the line. I'm feeling very well, no symptoms of metals. I'm tolerating sulphur foods and a teaspoon of chilantro pesto in the morning. Epson salt baths or saunas and gentle exercise - yoga or walking. Detoxing teas, which I do feel are causing some elimination through my pores and foods and herbs to support the liver. The only supplements I'm on are for adrenal and thyroid support for 30 days meantime. Can't complain at the moment and if this keeps up I'll be more able to give some attention to detoxing my environment.
